ENGAGEMENT OF PROJECT SCIENTIST/ASSOCIATE |

Applications are invited from Indian citizens having required eligiblity for engagement in few temporary positions under various projects of Environment Division of ASTEC. The candidates who possess the required qualifications may submit their applications in prescribed format along with attested copies of certificates within 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement. Position 1:
Project Scientist – 1(One) No; Project – Development of Assam Bio-Resource Centre.
Essential Qualification: |
| 1. |
1st Class M. Sc. in Botany with specialization in Angiosperm Taxonomy/Plant Ecology. |
| 2. |
6 months Diploma / Certificate course in Computer education from recognized university or equivalent institute. |

Job description:
|
| 1. |
Germplasm collection, conservation and propagation of selected plant species of ecological & economical importance, development of botanical garden, preparation of herbarium & museum specimens, data collection and compilation. |
| 2. |
The incumbent must to stay in the campus of the Assam Bio-Resource Centre located at Madan Kamdev near Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district of Assam. |
| 3. |
Monthly emolument: 8000/- (fixed). |
| 4. |
Duration of engagement: 11 months. |

Position 2:
Project Scientist – 2(Two) Nos; Project – Establishment of Biodiversity Data Bank, ASTEC.
Essential Qualification: |
| 1. |
Project Scientist(Botany): 1st Class M. Sc. with specialization in Angiosperm Taxonomy/Plant Ecology; |

Project Scientist(Zoology): 1st Class M. Sc. with specialization in Animal Ecology & Wild Life Biology/ Entomology. |
| 2. |
6 months Diploma / Certificate course in Computer education from recognized university or equivalent institute. |

Collection of references from different institutions/Universities, data compilation of all groups of plant/ animal resources. |
| 2. |
Monthly emolument: 8000/- (fixed). |
| 3. |
Duration of engagement: 11 months. |

Project Associate – 1(One) No; Project – Orientation of Secondary School Teachers for Environment Education.
Essential Qualification:
1st Class M. Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Life Science/Environmental Science/Geo-Science
